Carolyn (she/her) holds an MA in English (University of Saskatchewan). She is a former faculty member in English at MacEwan University and at Thompson Rivers University, and she has also held previous roles as Academic Integrity Officer, Academic Quality Assurance Manager, Curriculum Planning and Development Coordinator, and Interim Director of the Centre for the Advancement of Faculty Excellence at MacEwan and Department Co-Chair at TRU. Her current work focuses on assessment, decolonizing curriculum, humanizing education, open pedagogical practices, and Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR). As a Métis and neurodiverse faculty member, she cares deeply about making space for multiple perspectives in learning spaces.
